Seri ini juga melibatkan banyak pihak sungguhan dengan tokoh fiktif seperti Inspektur Megure sebagai anggota Kepolisian Jepang, Jodie Starling sebagai anggota Biro Investigasi Federal (FBI), maupun Ethan Hondo sebagai anggota Badan Intelijen Pusat (CIA). Seri ini juga menampilkan organisasi fiktif seperti Organisasi Hitam yang merupakan organisasi para tokoh antagonis dalam seri ini. Beberapa anak-anak yang bersekolah di SD Teitan juga membentuk sebuah grup detektif yang bernama "Grup Detektif Cilik".^[5]
