When seventeen years old Bella Swan leaves Arizona to live with her father in the small town of Forks and gloomy he was not expecting to like it . When he was young he was forced to visit her father in Forks . The last few years filled with reasons why she could not visit Forks , so he did not expect to care for such a small town . If living in Forks , with fog and persistent rain , not bad enough , he will have to make a new set of friends and settle into a new school . Bella find it easy to make new friends at school but when he saw a boy named Edward Cullen sitting with his brothers in the cafeteria he was immediately interested . Edward is stunningly attractive , almost inhuman beautiful , but she is an outsider . Although Edward and his family have lived in Forks for two years they never really accepted by the population of the city . At first Edward is aloof , sometimes it almost seems like he can not stand being in the same room with him , but eventually they strike an unlikely friendship .

Even when Bella falls helplessly and irrevocably in love with Edward , she still can not work out exactly what makes it so different from other people . On a trip to the beach , local legend tells Bella about the " cold " , a group of blood drinkers who have sworn off hunting humans but still not acceptable in Indian land because vampires can not be trusted . Edward is a vampire realized there was no change for Bella , she knows that she still loves him even though he's not human . Edward and his whole family are vampires . Edward himself was made a vampire when she was seven years , even though it was at the end of World War I. For Edward his love for Bella is both fun and torment . A happy because he was the first person he has loved since he became a vampire . A torment because although he has sworn off human blood and only hunt animals desire for human blood never truly leaves him and the scent of her highly aroused hunger for blood .

Twilight is a love story of Edward and Bella . Forget any vampire romance you have read before , Twilight is so unique it's almost like the genre itself . The book is marketed as Young Adult readers but it has the ability to cross age barriers and will satisfy both teenagers and adults alike . The story is told in the first person from the perspective of Bella , so the reader only ever know what he knows , making Edward and his family a mystery that is slowly unraveled throughout the book . Even at the end of the book I was still thirsty for more of the Cullen family back story - hopefully their characters might be developed further in future books . Bella itself is well written characters and realistic , timid and less confident , sarcastic inner voice telling the story to the reader .

            Twilight simply but beautifully written . Description of Forks makes you feel like you can almost smell the damp air and hear the rain falling on the roof . The romance between Edward and Bella is both touching and exciting . There is a melancholy feel of their impossible love , but at the same time they both do not want to give up hope that their relationship is not destroyed . This book reaches its peak of excitement as the romance between Bella and Edward turned into a frantic race to stay alive . I have heard Twilight described as " a vampire story for people who do not like vampire stories " and I think I would agree with that . This book really has something for everyone . Young adult readers , vampire fans or romance readers will all find Twilight be an interesting story . To a Young Adult novel is a long book but do not let that put you off reading it because each page is to be enjoyed . Trust me , this is one book that you will not want to end up .
